A bathroom remodel, handled as one job
A bathroom renovation touches a lot of things at once: demolition, plumbing, waterproofing, tile, carpentry, fixtures and glass. When each piece is a different company, things get missed and schedules slip. With Collingwood Bath & Tile, you have one point of contact from demo day to the final walk-through.
What a typical bathroom renovation includes
- Demolition and disposal of the old tile, tub, vanity and fixtures
- Floor and wall prep, so the new tile goes down flat and stays put
- Waterproofing behind every wet wall, including shower benches and niches
- Tile for the floor, shower walls, tub surround and any feature wall
- Vanity, toilet, faucets and shower fixtures installed
- Glass shower doors or fixed panels
- Heated floors, if you want them
- A final clean and a walk-through with you
Full renovation or a refresh?
Not every bathroom needs to be gutted. If the layout works and the plumbing is sound, new tile, a new vanity and new fixtures can change the room completely, for less money and less time.
If the tub is in the wrong place, the shower has been leaking, or the floor feels soft underfoot, it is usually worth taking the room back to the studs and doing it once. We will tell you which one you are looking at when we see it.
Built for the way Collingwood lives
Bathrooms here work hard. Wet ski gear all winter, sand from Sunset Point and Wasaga all summer, and houses that fill up with family and guests every long weekend. That is why we lean toward porcelain tile, real waterproofing behind every wet wall, and fixtures you can still get parts for in ten years.
If the place is a chalet or a short-term rental, we can help you pick finishes that stand up to heavy use and still look good in the listing photos.
How long a bathroom renovation takes
Most bathrooms are done in under four weeks from demo day. Smaller jobs, like retiling a shower or replacing a floor, take less. Your quote includes a timeline, and if we find something behind the walls that changes it, you hear about it that day.
Every kind of bathroom
Primary ensuites, main family bathrooms, powder rooms and basement bathrooms. If the shower is the main event, see walk-in showers. If you want warm tile underfoot, ask about heated floors while the floor is open.
